2009 New Car Models
The year 2009 was for sure the year of the auto crisis, and the year in which all the auto sales percent dropped off. But despite the fact of the financial crisis and the percentage drop-off, lots of auto builders struggled to come up with new models and types of hybrid cars and new concepts in order to gain the customers on their side.
For instance, Porsche, the German Builder launched the 500 hp Porsche Panamera, a luxury limousine meant to fight on the auto market with the Audi A8 and the Mercedes S class.

On the other hand, the Japanese builder Subaru has released a new diesel boxer engine with 147 hp for its Subaru Impreza model as a reply to the Volkswagen Golf VI 2.0 diesel engine.

The French manufacturer Citroen, and the British Jaguar and Land Rover are going to be equipped with the same v6 2.7 liters HDI engine which can develop up to 250 horse power. As Audi bets on their new S4 to be a success of the year 2009, Mercedes announced the release of the new E Class model.
The year 2009 was the year when BMW announced the new X1 and Hyundai released the new i20 which was meant to be a real success.
The other German builder Opel which was bought by the American company General Motors came back on the auto market with the new compact Opel Astra with a styled design.
